SOMATICS ARE not SO MUCH about what we do

BUT abouT how we are SENSING-FEELING-BEING while doing it

Somatics is an umbrella term to a vast field of movement and body based practices. Some with a clear therapeutic orientation, some with a defined step-by-step process, some with a more curious and expressive orientation.

I naturally bend more toward a more curious approach to the body’s language and wisdom.

I am not a therapist, yet my work as a blend of dual and non-dual somatics, and nervous system regulation tools is therapeutic and orient toward betterment of both day-to-day reality and the greater reality we can anchor and fall back in when life gets rough.

To go a bit deeper, Soma is the body as perceived from within. In my view the body is a SPACE for our lived experience. The more spacious, the more life can flow in and through. It is in no way separate from our mind process, our emotional process, nervous system responses (our learning and prediction process), and the ground of experience underneath it, our more etherial experience as what we could call the soul.

Exploring and navigating the complexity of our experience as Human being is not always an easy thing, but it doesn't have to be a complicated thing. It can be made more gentle, even enjoyable with an attitude of curiosity, compassion and an approach of deep play. This is often where the Expressive Arts will come as the perfect companion to Somatics in our work together.

I CREATE SPACE FOR THE UNFOLDING OF A SOFTER, STRONGER, MORE CONNECTED YOU

  • ONLINE Group sessions

I offer regular online group sessions on Zoom, live and recorded.

In RESTORE we restore ;) sensing & feeling, body-mind connection, movement awarness, cellular consciousness, mindful presence.

—> Slower practices, oriented toward rest and restoration, accessible to everyone.

In SHAKE THE DUST, we regulate and build capacity in the nervous system. It is a mix of HIIT, pilates, somatics, some elements of yoga, dance and free movement expression. All this along intentionally curated playlists. It is music therapy, dance therapy, it gets you fit and emotionally resilient. In my opinion and personal experience it is THE practice of our time.

—> More active practices and accessible with anyone in capacity to stand, walk, move as the intensity and our limits are something we build agency toward in each sessions and thru time.

General admission sliding scale 10-15€ per session.

  • ONLINE 1:1 SESSIONS

1:1 sessions allow us to dive into your experience with more attention and intention. The choice of practices and what we do will depend on where you are at and what is present in the moment or the challenge you are facing. I hold and create space for your unfolding. Mostly we will work with the body, sometimes it could be a very soft with very little movement, sometimes it can be more cathartic, and more often than not I may use or suggest some form of expression to bridge to day-to-day experience, such as journaling, poetry, drawing, etc. All these are details we will discuss together as I always like to talk my process and build a relation of trust which starts with transparency.

General rate is 65€ per session of 1h. Supported rate of 35€ is available on limited spaces. Please enquire by email by pressing the button below.

In People’s words

  • Sophie’s restorative yoga sessions are like a full-body exhale. Her gentle guidance invites deep rest while leaving space for personal exploration. I always leave feeling calm, grounded, and tingly — like I’ve just received a big, loving hug.

  • What really sets Sophie apart is her ability to hold space. She has that quiet, intuitive sense of knowing when to guide, when to step back, and how to meet people exactly where they are. Whether it’s a movement cue or a difficult emotion, she brings a kind of calm precision, like she’s reading the situation with both her mind and her whole body.

  • Sophie holds such a powerful, nurturing space. I felt free, safe, and deeply held.

  • I had the joy of joining Shake the Dust sessions, which is exactly what it sounds like. I left feeling more alive in my body, lighter, clearer, like I’d shaken off more than just physical tension. It’s rare to find a practice that’s both grounding and energizing.

  • Shake the Dust classes are pure joy! I never thought I’d enjoy moving so playfully, but Sophie’s energy, structure, and amazing playlists helped me reconnect with my body in a completely new way. It’s uplifting, energizing, and just so much fun.

“In a way, my body is like the body of the Earth, which with its mountains, valleys, river beds and uneven topography tells the story of its history and creation as surely as my body expresses the trials and creative changes that I have experienced throughout my lifetime.” - Ken Dychtwald
