wild woman, EXPLORER
What a wild thing to introduce yourself !
By tittle I go as somatic guide and expressive arts practitioner, yoga instructor, board member, food engineer.
I am a french woman. I identify as such while knowing deep within my bones that nature precedes culture. I am 37 and I relate to the icelandic artist Björk when she says “I am half child, half ancient.”
I have lived and explored various corners of the Earth and lived quite a few different lives. From very self-imposed disciplined upbringing, performance oriented by decade of synchronized swimming competition, a great love for challenge and appetite for risk and intensity, to becoming a food engineer, yoga instructor and studio co-owner, to then board member of my family business which is also part of my dharma and responsability.
I have transformed tremendously throughout the years and became intimate with the process of change. Transformation and exploration are major themes of my life and I am now at peace with it. I guess this is the reason some friends call me a soul alchemist.
I cultivated with the years the soft and sensitive side of me which had suffocated until my late 20’s. I’ve learnt to live well with it and to turn my sensitivity and nurturing side into an ally. I am also a wild fire, which I had to learn to harness so it doesn’t destroy but transform. And mostly I have learnt to enjoy and dance with these polarities and then to work with them.
I have also moved through a fair amount of absence, pain, loss and grief from a young age. Which inevitably informed who I became so far. Having encountered death closely has taught me a few things, including to love life dearly and an unwavering faithful spirit.
The foundation for my life and healing approach is that every experience and perception belongs, and is an opportunity to become curious, know more about ourselves, create and grow toward a more authentic living.
I have trained extensively in hatha, yin, himalayan and tantric yoga as well as advaita vedanta, shri vidya and non dual tantra (Trimurti and Shanti Atma yoga, ICEYR of Swami Gitananda, Janita Stenhouse, Paramanand Yoga institute, Dr Omanand, Swami Yoganand, Maa Uma-Parvathi Nath, Shiva Rea, Daniel Odier), and in somatic modalities (with Authentic Flow tribe, Satu Tuomela, Anja Bergh, 12 steps of Somatic Experiencing, some Continuum with Catherine Kocher).
I also trained in creative resolution (as part of my initial corporate career), and the latest in the Expressive Arts process (with Expressive Arts Egypt and World Art Organization).
Mostly I would say that I have embodied the work as a long term practitioner and student of life. I chew on my practices, swallow and metabolize them. I have learnt to dance with my shadows, make peace and befriend the darkest corner of my experience. I have walked through some initiatory fires and retrieved precious life lessons.
My approach is one of deep honest embodiment, fostered by somatic awareness, nervous system restoration and capacity building, cultivation of inner ressources, the healing power of creation and the arts. I rest on the foundations of non-dual philosophies, especially the one of Kasmir Shaivism aka Non dual Shaiva Tantra, and the closest to it in the western world, phenomenology, along with chaos theory, which have been pillars of study during my recent 2 years Somatic Expressive Arts therapy training.
Although I am a forever student of life, all this makes me feel qualified and supported in the work I do.

ODA’ WORDS
“More than practicing with Sophie, what I treasure most is witnessing her own relationship with emotions and vulnerability. As a friend, I've been blessed to experience her kindness and openness firsthand. She doesn't just teach emotional awareness—she embodies it. Through her example and gentle guidance, she has inspired me to become more attuned to my own feelings, to trust my emotions, and to see feelings not as obstacles but as wisdom.”
